The kids looked so adorable in their Easter clothes (if I do say so, myself) that I couldn't resist taking advantage of the perfect photo opportunity. They were all pretty good sports about it, for the most part--even Mason, who got dropped. That's right, dropped. About 3 or 4 shots into his turn with Delaney, Delaney's chair slid out from under her and she fell, dropping Mason in the process. Luckily, she was sitting on a little kid's chair that was only about a foot off the ground, but still, it's not fun being dropped from any height. Hence, the tears and subdued grins in each subsequent shot of Mason. I still got some pretty cute shots, and each one managed to capture each of the kids' personalities just perfectly.
A wise man said, "We do not remember days, we remember moments." Thank heavens that in the midst of these crazy days that make up our life, we have so many wonderful moments worth remembering. My hope is to capture as many of these moments as I can, so I can savor them now and forever.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
We had a super Seussical day celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday today. In honor of the occasion, we invited our good friends the Rizuttos over for a super silly party. We had green eggs and ham for lunch (which the kids thought was pretty cool to look at, but took a bit of coaxing to eat), made some fun Seussy projects, and of course, read our favorite Dr. Seuss books. It was fun to do something out of the ordinary.
